6 Breakfast Spots To Hit During SHOT Show

6 Breakfast Spots To Hit During SHOT Show

Whether you’re a SHOT Show veteran, or attending the show for your first time – there’s one thing I hope we can all agree upon. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Even more so when you’re spending a week living in a hotel room. Sure, you’ve got important meetings to attend first thing. You might’ve been out too late the night before. You might even not be a “breakfast person”. Take it from me, starting the day with a good base makes all the difference. Here’s the lowdown on some of the most convenient breakfast spots to visit before hitting the SHOT Show floor.

Bouchon at the Venetian

Bouchon_Las_VegasI have a confession: I LOVE a big breakfast. The fact that Bouchon offers Le Burger Bouchon (a grilled prime rib burger with all the fixin’s) for breakfast is really just the tip of their iceberg. If starting your day with a hamburger isn’t your idea of a great time, their offerings range from yogurt with berry compote and granola to omelets and French Toast. To top off this experience, the restaurant is located on the 10th floor of the Venezia Tower – making the view almost as great as the food. Bouchon is the brainchild of chef Thomas Keller, so be sure to bring your imagination…and your wallet.

Paris Baguette

Paris_Baguette_Breakfast_SHOT_ShowIf you haven’t been to Las Vegas since last years SHOT Show, you’ll enjoy the recent addition of Paris Baguette. The restaurant is conveniently located in the Grand Canal Shoppes of the Venetian. Because the restaurant is two levels, sitting upstairs provides a great glimpse into St. Mark’s Square. As the name implies, Paris Baguette offers French and European inspired breakfast options. The more robust of which include croissant sandwiches and French Toast with pastries and breads providing the carb-loading you might need before walking dozens of miles across the SHOT Show floor.

Grand Lux Café

Grand_Lux_Cafe_SHOT_BreakfastLocated within the Venitian, The Grand Lux Café provides easy access to 24 hour dining. In other words, no matter how early (or late) you arrive – they’re ready to fill you up with their large portions. If you’re looking for suggestions, be sure to try their Belgium Waffles as well as the breakfast sandwiches. Another plus, is their ability to accommodate large groups, making a great option for morning meetings before the SHOT Show doors open.

Tableau_Breakfast_SHOT_ShowStepping away from the Venetian, Tableau is a great option for breakfast across the street at the Wynn. The décor is definitely a step up from the greasy spoon that you might be used to back home. With a fresh juice and smoothie bar, you’ll be making smart decisions from the get-go with a Purify (honeydew, green apple, kale, spinach, cayenne and organic honey). If you’re in the mood to blow your entire caloric intake for the day, feast upon the Brown Butter Apple Pancakes (complete with cinnamon mascarpone butter) or give the Duck Hash and Eggs a spin – both sure to fill you up for a day of schmoozing.

Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar

Guy_Fieri_Breakfast_SHOT_ShowDepending on where you’re staying during SHOT Show, you might walk right past the Linq Hotel, home of Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar. I’m sure you know the guy that I’m talking about – the bleach blonde, spikey haired chef from TV? Well, he’s brought his own brand of downhome meets gourmet breakfast options to breakfast. Starting the day with the Dragon’s Breath Chili Cornbread Benedict might be too much for some, but by this point – you’re a hardened road warrior, right? Flat iron Steak & Eggs or Maple Bacon French Toast might be more up your alley….chicken.

mcdonalds-Egg-McMuffin_SHOT_Show_BreakfastIf your CFO demands you squeeze every drop from your trade show per diem, McDonald’s is a place you can do it. You’re either a fan of McDonald’s breakfast or you’re not, but an Egg McMuffin, hash brown patty, and coffee or a couple of sausage breakfast burritos can fill you up … and not slow you down. As you hit the top of the escalators at peak breakfast times, the line will scare you, but fear not intrepid SHOT Show-goer! This is Vegas! They know how to handle crowds! You’ll be through the line quickly and on your way to the show floor while filling your gullet on the short walk. And, hey … let’s remember … McDonald’s coffee is served hot!
