Facebook’s Canvas is a mobile advertising game-changer
I’ve talked about it in the past – Facebook’s advertising platform is tough on its competition. The fact their ad revenue exceeded $4 billion dollars in the last quarter of 2015 shows this isn’t a secret to many of you. It’s one of the easiest ways to identify and reach an audience, and even better – engage them with the right message at the right time. As the platform continues to push beyond its advertising competitors, new ad units and products are in the pipeline to be developed and released. It seems to be the golden age of social advertising.
Keeping things moving onward and upward, Facebook has announced Canvas into its advertising assortment. Specifically created for mobile app platform, this offering looks like another promising advertising solution to target the 1.442 billion monthly mobile users of the platform.
In short, advertisers who have access to the Power Editor already have access to Facebook Canvas. Canvas allows advertisers to create full-screen ad experiences, which load up to 10x faster than a traditional mobile landing page. Let’s take it from Facebook, slow load times are one of the top reasons that people abandon a website. They’ve offered up a few case studies on how big brands are currently using the Canvas platform, which are pretty interesting to dissect.
I’d love to hear your thoughts – how would you use Canvas?
