Zippo Hand Warmers
What do you do if you have a superior product with low awareness? That was the issue facing Zippo and their line of fuel-based hand warmers. To drive awareness, we took on disposable hand-warmers with bold, in-your-face creative that hammered home Zippo’s superior performance. The campaign idea – This Ain’t No Namby Pamby Hand Warmer – was a not-so-subtle jab at the flimsy, soft and environmentally unfriendly disposable hand warmers that dominate the category. The campaign work – just like the Zippo hand warmer – was hotter than Texas in July.
HEROES OF THE COLD
By leveraging our social networking expertise and strategic outreach efforts, Zippo was able to connect with and profile hometown Heroes of the Cold: People that not only work and play in the harshest conditions, but who embrace it. Social media, in this case, served as both a means to promote the Namby-Pamby campaign and as a recruitment tool pairing the toughest Hand Warmer on the planet with the toughest workers from across the country.
